• Returning the employee to work as soon as medically possible, notifying the treating physician that light duty work is available;
• Controlling the medical costs through aggressive managed care thus eliminating abuse and fraudulent actions;
• Maintaining a trust relationship with the injured workers by communicating a professional, positive concern.

Quality case management exists when there is open communications between all parties involved in the claim. Our RN Case Managers will establish a network of communications involving your adjuster, Johnston and Associates' RN Case Manager, the employer, attorneys, physicians, and the injured worker. This type of communication will promote sharing of key information to expedite the claims process and reduce the total cost impact of the claim by controlling medical cost and litigation.

A pro-active approach will ensure early case resolution and cost containment. Our RN Case Managers move the case at set time frames achieving established goals with the main purpose of containing the overall cost of the case. This cost containment can be reflected in many ways: elimination of lost work days; avoidance of excessive testing; elimination of multiple physicians; elimination of the need for attorneys; early return to work; and fair assignment of impairment ratings.
